In 2019 I was commissioned to design a book titled 2020 Visions of The Hook Peninsula by a local Photographer and Historian. The book was to be released in 2020 as per the book title. I was given the dimensions of the book and was given the creative freedom to design it in whatever way I felt was best. This allowed me to be creative and explore many directions of what I felt the book should look like.

 

The book contains beautiful and striking photographs of birds and wildlife, architecture, nature and local people. It showcases modern life on the Peninsula.

I wanted the photographs to be the main focus of the book so I left the design very simple and clean with plenty of white space around the pictures to emphasise the incredible work.

 

This was my first large scale book project and although challenging at times, I loved the process of designing a book and it is so rewarding to see it come to life when printed!
